Dell Buying Advice and Where to Get Dell coupons

Some dells are rather plain looking, making them ideal for traditional office environments

Dell is probably one the most recognized computer company in the world. It has been the computer of choice at every office environment I have worked at in the past. Originally, I was impressed with how quiet the machines were. I have therefore selected Dell whenever I bought a desktop or laptop computer for myself.

On the whole, Dell offers competitive prices, and therefore in the past I did not explore ways to get extra discounts. It turns out this was a huge mistake, since recently I discovered that there are plenty of Dell coupons online that you can take advantage of.

The only issue is that the coupons are all over the web, and there are literally dozens of active ones available at any given time. I have found that the best way to acquire these dell coupons in one place is by visiting a major coupon site such as Retailmenot or Couponcabin. Be patient and go through the long list of coupons carefully, as you might be able to save quite a bit of money by conducting this important but albeit tedious exercise.

Buying ink cheaply at 123inkjets

April 16th, 2013

123inkjet couponsOkay, my pet peeve with printers is the cost of ink. Sure, you can get a cheap printer for well under $100, but then, you often need to buy ink almost every month, and this can easily run you $30. Give this unfortunate scenario, I inevitably began looking for a way to buy ink more cheaply.

Lo and behold, it turns out you can buy cartridges online and they cost a lot less this way. On average, I save about $10 per cartridge over what I pay at office supply stores. Another good thing is that they have a pretty big selection. My favorite store is this one because they let you save money if you use 123inkjets coupons.

Apparently, there are quite a few ways to save on ink. I don’t know how far to take this. There are people who refill empty cartridges on their own but do I really want to do this? I have to decide at what point I’ll be wasting my time when considering the amount of money I am saving. As with everything, there is a point of diminishing returns.

Great jewelry buys at Ross Simons

As Marilyn so eloquently said, diamonds are a girl’s best friend

Who doesn’t love jewelry? Okay, I’ll admit there IS one thing I don’t like about it. The price. Of course, it’s probably possible to buy fakes and in all likelihood, it will fool 95% of casual observers. But I just can’t bring myself to do this. For me, the best option is to buy jewelry online so I can take advantage of discounts, while still getting the real thing.

Buying jewelry sight unseen takes a bit of guts, and that’s why you should only stick to the best online stores. Personally, I use a Ross Simons coupon as I like the products they sell at that store. I also hear Blue Nile is good, but I can’t find any coupons for them (at least none that work). If you know where to get some coupons for Blue Nile, do leave a comment and let me know!

Now I will be the first to admit, I don’t know everything about jewelry. But that’s where the Internet comes in handy. I often pay a visit to the Blue Nile Education page to get information about diamonds, etc. It’s a lot of reading but worthwhile in my opinion.

On audio books and trying out Audible

January 29th, 2013

free trial of audible audio books I spend a lot of time in my car for my commute and work, and instead of just listening to music, I prefer to get good information. For this reason, I often turn to audio books. Back in the day, I would buy several books on tape and listen to them daily. Nowadays, tapes and even cds are outdated and out of fashion, and audio books are available online. The most salient company selling audio books online is a company called Audible. The site is essentially a membership site, where you sign up and pay a monthly fee. Thereafter, you get access to 1 free book per month, along with the privilege of purchasing audio books at a discounted price. The discounts are often quite a bit, and if you buy a lot of audio books, you will more than pay for your membership dues from the discount savings alone.

One problem with audio books is that you have to stick to popular or well-known books. If there are not a lot of readers for the book you are interested in, it’s unlikely there will be an audio book version. Think about it – it’s just not profitable for a book company to hire a reader/actor or the author and create the audio version of the book if they are not going to sell.

I’ll be honest – audio books aren’t for everyone. My sister, for example, finds them a total bore and she wouldn’t listen to them even if she got 10 free books a month. For me, I do tend to enjoy them but not all the time. Sometimes I’m just in the mood for music instead. But when I’m in a focused state of mind, audio books are a wonderful way to pick up new knowledge.

Should you try audible yourself? Well, thanks to an Audible free trial, you don’t have to put up money to find out. Depending on the trial offer you get, you will be able to use Audible for 2 – 4 weeks before paying any of your hard earned money. You might end up deciding it is well worth the small membership fee.
